Well the My Family winners were a bit alternative with their speech, they should have played it straight.
Yes as acceptance speeches go that was truly rubbish. Ant & Dec are seasoned pro's at these now though, they can show them how it's done.

Bah. Kat Slater wins best actress. No surprise. Eastenders has been so rubbish this year. Yet they've won nearly everything - again. I didn't even expect Suranne to win, I wanted Amanda Redman to win!
If Shane Ritchie gets best actor and Eastenders gets best soap it'll be a travesty.
Yep, looks like it's going to be an Eastenders sweep tonight. Just need Shane Richie for the set, and best soap is anybody's guess, I bet the Emmerdale lot get fed up of turning up for these events. They must know they're never in it.

Oh dear Jessie Wallace has won best actress, how she can win when actresses from proper dramas like both Amandas are in the running I don't know. Has she actually done anything outstanding this year or what?

Actually, I've just noticed that they don't call it "Best Actress" or "Best Entertainer". It's "Most Popular Actress" etc. There is a huge difference and it puts them up in my estimation.
However, the way in which Jesse Wallace was treated was terrible. I can't believe Trevor cut her speech short to go to a break!

Us Corrie viewers are the more intelligent ones. We don't waste money on expensive text messages or phone lines to vote. Only daft people do so (hence Eastenders is winning!) I notice they're subliminally advertising Corrie with a 'preview'!
