That is very very true. Very well deserved. Chris Tarrant was a bit close to barging in on the limelight though. Do you reckon Trev knew he was going to win?
Did you hear people shouting "STOP THE WAR" in the background when Blair was on!!
I thought they were shouting 'WE LOVE TREVOR'

When they said Tony Blair, I was expecting it to be Rory Bremner or a lookalike.
If anyone deserved some kind or recognition, Trevor did really deserve the award, he has done such a lot in his lifetime.

This if anything backs up that the NTA's are good as they are voted by the viewers, we have enough industry unkowns patting each other on the back.
I'm surprised Tony Blair made an appearance in person, as Square Eyes said, I was expecting Rory Bremner as well!

Why the hell did they get Emma Jones back as presenter of the ITV2 show? She was terrible last year, and is terrible this year.

So overall ITV got 8 awards and the BBC got 6 awards - I think thats right.
Yeah I do think Trevor deserved his award as he has been reading the news for as long as I can remember and is always a very professional and excellent news reader.
I remember a few years ago they had a category for Best Newsreader - it would be good if they brought that back!

Duh -- what do you expect when its a programme on ITV1, gets more plugs to phone up and vote for ITV programmes on ITV1. T.osser.
Still, nice to see EE win by a landslide, if only to p.iss you off.

Well there was one person who shouted, and he was a bit late, the war finished ages ago, 'Stop the occupation' would be more apt

So basically according to you ITV are on a loser both ways, if they loose they loose, if they win then its a fix.
I don't suppose you saw Today with Des and Mel today, well David Dickenson was on, and they made a point of giving his number out. Why can't people understand that outside of this forum there isn't such a thing as a ITV viewer or a BBC viewer, most watch both, they watch GMTV, a bit of This Morning, Bargain Hunt, Weakest Link, EastEnders, Corrie, Holby, then an ITV1 drama etc!
ITV cutting off the credits is an annual event with shows like this

But you can have a great programme that hardly anyone watched up against some bland drama with more viewers.... and the drama will win because there's someone 'well fit' in it
