I stand corrected. I always thought those awards were kept secret for the sake of surprising the recipient.

Just lack of pacing.
It is a 90 minute show stretched over a 2.5 hour show. It should be cut down to maybe 2 hours at most, and possibly not done live. If it was pre-recorded a few hours earlier it could be much better with it edited.
