What a time to be alive when 'Cleaning Up' is shortlisted in the New Drama category!

Strictly will win Talent Show
Ant & Dec will win TV Presenter (obviously!)...Phil won't be too happy he and Holly have seperate nominations in that category!
I'm A Celebrity will win The Bruce Forsyth Entertainment Award
Challenge Show is an interesting category...I can see Love Island winning it which may be quite awkward!
This Morning up against new besties GMB and Loose Women for Live Magazine Show - there is no compeition but still!
TV Judge is bound to be David Walliams presenting the award to...David Walliams

Love Island as a challenge show makes no sense - if anything I'm a Celeb should be in that category.

With The X Factor now a dead show running can see the Talent Show category being ditched next year and merged with Challenge under the Reality banner.

And the end of the 2011 opening also features the logos, so it didn't go with the change of theme tune:

So if it featured from the start it lasted at least 16 years.
I see they added ITV2 and E4 there, so it does appear that the amount of eligible channels and platforms increasing is why they stopped using the channel logos in the NTA title sequences. It would get unwieldy if they added many more.

The 1997 awards were two days after the BBC rebrand. Therefore they’re using the wrong idents for them.

Though I’m sure the BBC had the idents under wraps beforehand and I’m sure they weren’t going to provide ITV copies of them before their launch just for use on their awards ceremony.

To be fair though, the award ceremony was for shows which broadcasted the past year, so to use the old logo probably makes sense in that regard.

In the doc on Tuesday, I’m surprised nobody picked up on Paul O’grady’s comment when asked about his favourite shows

Looks like after allowing some quite long speeches early doors, they are running over already, so aren’t playing the full clips of the nominees.

Also “Impact award” - have they had that before, or just made it up to give G&S an award?

Been used before, Blue Planet II being one of them.

Did anyone else watch Ruth Jones' acceptance speech and thought it'd be the perfect time to announce a new special/series? A man can dream...

Indeed, there wasn’t even a suggestion in the speech that it might come back.

Slightly frosty there between Philip and Ruth when they stood up. Philip ignored her. Then frosty again when Phil handed the award to her to do a speech...
