The public can only vote for what they are fed.


True, but they're being fed all the biggest TV stars, they could put the QVC presenters on the list, but no one would vote for them. So the result would be the same.

With all due respect that's rather specious.

There's a plethora of presenters on the box. I didn't see Lorne Spicer or David Dickinson topping the poll.

People like Ant & Dec. Unless you want to go round to all their homes and box their ears for voting you might just have to get over it,

I think the problem with many of the awards is initially the public are given a very long short list, and then when the top 4 become the nominees it isn't quite so balanced. Also some shows are clearly in the wrong category to begin with - Loose Women may be a lot of things, but it is certainly in no way a factual programme - though to be fair, the other nominees weren't either - Factual Entertainment at best, but not "Factual".

Dermot did a great job as host - certainly better than Trevor. Not perfect, but a few tweaks next year should improve things.
