Again, fine example of Chav Britain. Rolling Eyes

There could have been someone better than Jamie Oliver to get the Special Recognition surely? Shocked

Erm, I don't want to be a spoilsport, but the awards stories are clearly embargoed by PA News until 2230.

Wassup Marki, you never break an embargo before?

I know it's only the National Television Awards, but embargoes do exist for a reason and obviously didn't want things in the public domain until 10.30 (possibly because the awards hadn't even finished!) - breaking embargoes just isn't cricket, son. Laughing

Are those two statements to be taken together? Although there are many TV chefs I enjoy more, Jamie strikes me as the antithesis of "chav" culture on account of the fact he works.

A loxton-like overuse of the word "chav" doesn't really help clarity.

Laughing Get you ol'boy.

Naa, I meant chav britain as in the nation voting for EastEnders over Corrie and the whole What's On TV/TV Quick thing - sorry. innit.

Notice they've done away with that 5 second ident montage at the start this year.

Trevor is letting his hair down for his once a year non-serious appearance tonight!

And the 2 conservative leaders got booed when they came on, for some reason. Doesn't Tony Blair appear later?

Does anyone else think the set looks a bit cheaper than normal?

Not really, I can't remember what the set looked like last year!

Funny to see David Cameron and David Davis presenting an award. I can't imagine the chavs who watch this would have any idea who they are.

And is it really appropriate to put Crimewatch UK as a contender for an award in the same category as Supernanny and Wife Swap?

I think it's smaller, and I'd prefer having a podium where they give the awards.

But you're watching it and you clearly know who they are Confused
