But the biggest travesty of the night was that the programme was a co-productiuon between LWT and 19 Entertainment!
19 Entertainment is the same company that is involved with the Pop Idol programmes and im sure is partly owned by Simon Cowell, SImon Fuller and Nikki Chapman (amongst others)
So the whole programme was a blantant plug for 19 Entertainment recording artists - Will, Gareth, Cheeky Girls etc and also for their owners/workers Cowell and Chapman!
A dreadful programme where the only good portion was the Shirley Bassey award and songs!!!
Why do ITV feel the need to produce such crap like this? It made the National TV Awards from the previous week look very professional and an award worth winning!

That's right, it all made sense when the end production cap came up, a 19 Production with LWT. 19 Production do have Gareth, Will, Cheeky Girls and also Rachel Stevens on their books coincidentally, all of which happened to be present last night.
I mean honestly, was Rachel Stevens really the best female artist after only releasing one record ? I agree with the majority of other posters, it's all very fishy. But some decent performances were in between those dubious awards.
