Anyone catch the announcement before
In It To Win It
? A question about Alexander McQueen has been edited out, and Mr. Announcer (I don't know his name) reassured that the total prize fund we would see is correct.
How controversial must that question have been, to be edited out
two weeks
after the guy died?
Surprised that they didn't make it clear that the Lottery draw section is live (assuming it is!) having given away that the game show which surrounds it is recorded at least 2 weeks in advance.
Notice just shown where the question would've been repeating what the announcer said and skipped to the next contestant. Robin (the contestant) obviously got the question right as the prize fund was £40k when it was £30k before.

I think the references to the "draws, live" timechecks and simple common sense that nobody has been bollocked for airing fortnight-old lottery draws renders such an action redundant.
I don't suppose anyone was playing along at home after pressing the red button? Editing a TV show is probably quite an easy thing to do but editing the associated interactive app may be something that isn't as easy or is easier to overlook.
Requests:
Capture of the CA announcement?
IPlayer link to the part of the show that has been edited?
The Eggheads question was about a simple matter of non-controversial/non-offensive fact.
This question might have been something like "who said [something not very complimentary] about McQueen['s work]". It's easy to see why, in the light of his death, including that might be seen as tactless.
Strange they didn't edit out a similar question from a recent edition of Eggheads, by the same production company.
It could be they didn't have enough time to edit the question from Eggheads as it was pretty close whent he death was announce (think it was in the same week). That said, IItWI is a more light hearted quiz so there would've been banter between Dale and the contestant regarding McQueen in some form (never heard of him, is he alive etc...).
I haven't got a capture but it was something along the lines of "Now on BBC One, In It To Win It. Due to the recent death of Alexander McQueen, a question has been edited out [...] The prize fund shown is accurate"
