Noel's back - has already insulted Carol Smilie, told "Barry off Eastenders" to shut up, said the woman off Casualty was "liquid sex", said to a contestant "you were a bit pissed off, weren't you?" and said the audience were badly dressed!

He's also redoing NTV which is great to see but considering 10 years ago they managed to remove the howl-around, it was a bit of a cockup tonight, all under the guise of a Google Earth-esque "satellite zoom".

And is the show actually live? It's still looking pretty light when they cross to their OBs.

And the biggest difference - the draws are now being conducted at a purpose built room at Lottery HQ not TVC so there's no audience. I guess you don't need to be a bright spark to work out what prompted this change.

Oh the wonders of Digital TV. And it's as if Noel dosen't want to work again at the BBC what with what hes done before the watershed. And whos the special person to 'push the button' for the lottery draws? Jenni Falcolner from GMTV.

And add some pointless Quiz, Pointless Awards, some Z-list celebs and those Digital sound problems and you've got yourself a big Saturday Night show. And Noel dosen't seem as 'enthusiastic' as NHP, Wheres Mr. Blobby when you need him? And some Gunge wouldn't go amiss.

EDIT: Also why are the draws supposed to seem so tacky. We don't need to keep having a time-check from the voice of the balls and getting confirmation from the aduicator wether we're good to go. It's a Lottery draw and not a space launch.

It's a shame it's not that great a show - but it's not too bad!

Nice to see NTV back again - but the digital delay is very annoying! Why haven't they sorted out that problem yet - considering digital is supposed to be an improvement on analogue you'd think they'd be aiming to cut it down!


The draws - the new music is crap, but it's good the canned clapping has gone - though it made the odd random appearance.


Obviously all this show isn't 100% live as the clips of the award presentations were shown at the beginning. Anyhow it makes a change to see a Hollyoaks actor accept an award!

I can't believe Noel chose such a dire show to make his big BBC comeback with - Even he looks bored!. It's like they've just discovered Google Earth and thought "how can we build a show around this?". It's really not as clever as they seem to think it is. As for NTV - he's been gone too long. Ant & Dec did it much better an hour earlier.

Yes, I think he is more suited to Channel 4 afternoons and "Deal Or No Deal" now.

Oh we are aiming to cut it down, I've just asked people in the control room to move the satellite closer to earth. That'll sort it.

Noooo!! Noel is now on The National lottery. Why couldn't he have just stayed on Deal or No deal. Please tell me he won't return to Saturday night tv regularly.
