Saw this tonight, sounds like it came from The London Studios as they said they were from London's South Bank. There seemed to be quite a lot of old style National Lottery Live influence, in terms of the shape of the set and the National Lottery Awards paying homage to old National Lottery Live logo.
Now they may have done this for previous National Lottery Awards, but I think it could be the first time.
You didn't warn that clip may contain scenes of John Barrowman!!!
Did they also do the Thunderball on site - skipping through it couldn't seem to find the draw, but did find Leona Lewis. I knew ratings for The X Factor had fallen this year but didn't think they'd got so bad she'd turn up at the Lottery Awards rather than the final!

!
He suppose to be doing Pato with the Krankies
Quite how the Krankies and John Barrowman could possibly copulate with a fictional duck from Pocoyo is beyond me - whatever floats their boat, I suppose.
Nice to see it escape it's cheap and dreary studio for once. It is indeed (I believe) the first time the Lotto has left the studio since they removed it from TVC in about 2007 so I think?! The only exception I think to this was the Thunderball draw I remember they had outside the Natural History Museum on Christmas Eve 2010.
The audience didn't really take to the idea of cheering the balls when they appeared. Oh how different it is compared to all the hoots and hollering you used to get with it in the 90's.
Anyway, I do hope that it's not a one off, though it's extremely likely it will be, unlike Barrowman and his hideous presenting skills which still seem to be drawing blood from a stone!

Wasn't that the Millionaire Raffle, which was just done by computer?
Out of interest where is the studio for the National Lottery draws is it in BBC TV Centre or indeed somewhere else and is there really an audience, I very much doubt there is an audience for a show that last less then five minutes.

Yes, there's a real audience. They're kept locked in a dark basement the rest of the week and have to cheer the balls to earn their gruel.

It comes from a reasonably secret location, not too far outside the M25. It's a tiny little studio, no audience can be accommodated.
I hear it's moving soon, to another location, not too far away from the present one.

Under the new four-year contract, which has the option to be extended for a further two years, the flagship Saturday draw show will be broadcast from brand new state-of-the-art facilities at Pinewood Studios and become the primary focus of The National Lottery’s presence on the channel, with results captions shown on other draw days. The new contract starts on 1 January 2013.
