A bit of a random topic here...but...

Is 'The National Lottery - Come and Have a Go' returning for a new run to fill the gap between Doctor Who and Casualty, once Jet Set ends? Just wondered that's all. It started in about week 4 or 5 of Doctor Who last year and it would be great to see Julian Clary insulting more members of the general public on a Saturday night again! It was a really good show last year and much better than Jet Set or the tiresome Millionaire Manor that has been on recently.

I know Jet Set has only just started again but it did have a bonus run in October last year, so I guess this run won't be very long either. However, UKGameshows suggest that it will run till June when In It To Win It takes over. In which case, it will have been a very boring past year for lottery shows.

Can anyone confirms its return??? Confused:

Julian Clary irritated me last year, ok, he soon got into the swing of things as the shows went on but his jokes became unbearable after a while.

In it to win it was abolutely dreadful. Julian Clary kept making a joke out of every single question that was asked and that woman (don't know her name) doing the questions instead of him, except in the last round, was ridiculous IMO. But itprobably will return for a second run.

I think IITWI has had it's day now, and should be axed.

But IITWI is set to be on after Jet Set according to that website I quoted. How true that is, I don't know. I hope IITWI is axed - I agree, it is abysmal. Come and Have a Go is tacky but v.enjoyable all the same! I DO hope it returns soon!

BTW, that woman you refer to was Emily Maitlis who will be presenting Newsnight from time to time and does the news for BBC London apparently.

Emily left BBC London News on thursday, and will join News 24 and Newsnight in April.

Agree - by far the best Lottery show though Winning Lines has now been axed.

Jetset is watchable, but the problem with all the current Lottery shows is they are basically the same.

Some of the original new crop of Lottery shows were much more entertaining, including the much slated "Big Ticket" - and one which was quite good but only had one series was Brian Conley's "We've Got Your Number".

I'm not one of those people who thinks the Lottery should be screened in a 5-minute slot like on Wednesdays - but I do think sometimes it could be included in other BBC shows, such as Strictly Come Dancing for example - airing in between the main show and the results.
