Nation 277

Has anyone seen this new channel on Sky. It started yesterday after months of testing.
Few things - 1, I wonder why the EPG says its GameNation when the DOG says Nation277 and at the start today, on the menu, Gamenation was a Program strand from 13:00 - 17:00. The presenters have called it Nation277 so wonder why on the EPG its GameNation.

2nd - There is this program at 7pm till 8pm and 9:30 pm till 10:30 called Flipside, presented By Richard Bacon, and Basically its him reviewing tonight’s TV as it happens (Or in other words him flicking to ITV2 and talking about what’s on then going to BBC THREE and talking about it etc etc)
Has anyone seen this show?? The first one was last night, but I did not see so will do tonight.

This new channel is quite good and more professional that Friendly TV (And the sound is at least a lot better too). Mostly all of it is live in the studio (except for the odd 10 minute filler shows) and the presenters who one of which you might notice is Ex - Shop! The Value Channel Presenter Dean Wilson. He was on today, and was quite good.

So what do we all think of this channel and what do we think of the Flipside TV Review program, Reviewing TV as it happens.

Yeah found that today on Sky the name puzzeled me aswell seems quite good and is professional but still quite funny at the same time i like the bit when the blonde comes on in hotpants and a bikini to swap clipboards did think the studio was quite bare though , a new channel to look out for in the future

Caught a bit of this channel last night, there was quite an interesting chat-show type thing with a stand-up comedienne as a guest (no-one else could get a word in edgeways). Seemed quite intelligent which surprised me

As a result of reading this thread I've just flicked over to Nation277 and it's output currently consists of a FriendlyTV-esque wideshot of the studio with no-one in it.

It says on Media Guardian that it is running test broadcasts so what does this mean that the channel is only on a few hours or what? I know this seems stupid but I Dont understand

The channel is on from Noon till 1am. I think it means all the shows on the channel are still testing so expect lots of mistakes until November 20 or something when the people running the channel should be well practiced on how to run the shop.

Just want to say I think 277 is great and really shows what new channels are capable of. Of course, I expect it to be 90% shopping and porn by december, but I am a pessimist...

I think is channel is pretty good. Flipside is a really innovative show. Suprised by the quality of the hosts - Richard Bacon and Ed Hall are fairly good, which bodes well.

I'm also tempted to play one of their piss easy games at one o'clock when nobody is watching and win my self a quick hundred.
