N24 presenter changes

As reported on the forum yesterday the BBC maybe about to shuffle the News 24 and World presenters - possibly already starting with Lindsay Brancher on N24 the other day. Anybody know anything more?

Sorry to cause so much offence! I was only asking! I'll go and crawl back to my hole now if I have upset somebody.

I think they should change the actual presenters around on News 24, here's how I think it should be:

Mon-Fri
06:00-09:00 (Breakfast)
09:00-13:00 Gavin Esler and Jane Hill
13:00-16:00 Peter Dobbie and Joanna Gosling
16:00-19:00 Bill Turnbull and Carrie Gracie
19:00-23:00 Ben Geoghegan and Valerie Sanderson
23:00-03:00 Peter Coe
03:00-06:00 Maxine Mawhinney

Ben has gone to Newsnight. Maxine doesn't do nights unless she really really has to.
Why a change in Presenters at 0300? Don't you think that would look odd for the World audience?
Why do you think your line-up of presenters would be good combinations?

Just my personal opinion TP - if I was in charge of BBC News 24, that is how I woud have the schedules.
I don't know about Saturdays and Sundays though!

I wish someone would tell Joanna Gosling to lighten up a little. She comes across really snotty and boring, so I just assumed she was like that. However, Auntie's bloomers showed the clip where Fergus Walsh was reading the newspaper when he was on air - Gosling did the 'This is BBC News 24' and he suddenly looked up. She started laughing as she said 'I could have carried on but I thought I'd drop you in it' - so she does have a sense of humour!

She does, and she's a fab person too! All of them are. She's there to read the news, not tell gags

Yes I like Joanna as well TP, she is a great anchor. In fact as you say all of the News 24 presenters are great at their job.
