Hello, couldn't find a sensible thread for this, so started this one.

This thread is for those idents around the world that were used rarely or on special occasions.

Here's one to start with:

This was found at the end of an edition of the short-lived PBS game show "We Interrupt This Week". This version is rare because:
A. The colours used on the lettering is slightly different to those normally used
B. The jingle is replaced by the last line of "Happy Birthday"

No mention of it is featured within the episode of We Interrupt This Week. I presume it's from a birthday celebration, but does anyone know what it was actually used for?

Here's some help for you, the actual edition of We Interrupt This Week which preceded the ident:

I think that the airdate I could think of is Thursday 5th October 1978 when PBS celebrated it's 8th birthday. So, that's why the PBS logo had the "Happy Birthday" jingle in it for this episode.

Problem is Ned Sherrin at the beginning of We Interrupt This Week says "We interrupt the crowded week, the week ending December 8th". So unless it's a repeat from the year before, or each episode does a random week of the year, it makes it more confusing.
