It appears at My Hero is going to make a comeback this Friday on BBC1. But sadly Ardal O'Hanlon (George Sunday) has been replaced by another actor and I don't know how this will affect the show. Will this new series be a hit or miss? I want to hear your opinions.

James Dreyfus was brilliant on The Thin Blue Line/Gimme Gimme Gimme.

I agree. His character on The Thin Blue Line was genius.

My Hero is weird. It's one of those shows which you wouldn't specifically sit down and watch, but if it's on you'll always turn it on. It's just a bit of light entertainment really, not overly funny but good.

Will be interesting to see James Dreyfus in it though, i find him rather funny. The only camp actor i can actually stand to watch.

Is it me or is My Hero going in the same direction as Mike and Angelo did?????

Actually, thinking about it, My Hero's target audience are exactly the same audience that used to watch Mike and Angelo - weird isn't it - NOT

The freaky baby with the superimposed talking mouth is the worst bit of this sitcom.

And frequent appearances by Natasha Kaplinsky

never even watched mike and angelo to know what it was about

would have to watch the new series of my hero to make a proper judgement, hopefully this the the children will speak for themselves rather than the fake mouths somebody previously mentioned. Interesting that the children are played by the offspring of the producer and one of the writers, good way to get into acting, have a dad who writes or produces a sit com

I can just about recollect Mike & Angelo, although my memory is too fuzzy to recall any great detail whatsoever - saw a few eps just because it would be on at the time. Knightmare is far easier to remember -- that said, I did see a repeat quite recently!

I remember watching Mike & Angelo on CITV and that was a strange programme. I'm always confused with who's who because it's Angelo(?) who was the alien and my memory's always too fuzzy to recall the episodes. But I remember one episode where Mike's(?) mother is inhabited by an alien throughout the episode and sounded as if she had helium for breakfast.
