I'm a bit confused because the next episode of my family advertised in radio times is one I watched on youtube a few months back, how can I watch something on youtube before it is even broadcast?

I can't remember the details but I do remember reading that at least one episode was released on DVD before it was broadcast.

Wikipedia says "Note: This episode was originally scheduled for 24 June 2011, but was postponed for ten weeks due to an overrun Wimbledon match."

I always thought a programme couldn't go on iPlayer until it had been shown on TV, but presumably most recorded programmes are timed to automatically become available on iPlayer when the programme has been shown, rather than be added to iPlayer manually. Unless it went out in one of the nations at a different time.

that is why I was confused I'd already seen it

guess if it was canceled at short notice it was too late to stop whatever process puts it on iplayer

I though that as well because the episode was on the iPlayer, but hadn't gone out on BBC One because of the tennis.
I now see the episode's now been removed from the running order on the iPlayer, which may suggest it didn't actually go out anywhere at all.

The episode was accidentally put on the iPlayer for a few days despite not airing after Winbledon overrun.

I watched it online at the time, pretty good episode too.

it was a good episode, nice for Kenzo's character to be central to the story for a change

Shame the actor is awful.

most child actors are because the script is written by an adult with preset assumptions on how a child acts, Taylor Marshall is about 11 but I'm not sure how old Kenzo is meant to be, probably younger

talking of which is there any relation between Taylor Marshall and Kris Marshall who played Nick

Taylor is 11.
Kenzo is 8. Supposedly.
Apart from sharing a surname, no other relation.
Has a handful of surreal looking videos on YouTube.
