ISTR reading somewhere that Robert Lindsay and Zoe Wannamaker aren't as pleased with the newer episodes in comparison to the earlier ones.
I agree it went downhill after Kris Marshall left, they should have ended the programme on a high there, it's never been a comic gen, but for a standard BBC One comedy, it wasn't bad.

Never watched it regularly but agree it should have ended when or soon after Kris Marshall left. It's still a good half-hours viewing though if there isn't anything else on.
Talking of BBC comedies outstaying their welcome, I assume My Hero was axed after the dreadful idea to replace Father Dougal. What's happening with The Green Green Grass too - has that been recommissioned?
After You're Gone isn't too bad, but I think now Corrie has taken up the 8.30pm slot on Fridays which was home to most these programmes the BBC aren't going to be throwing as much in the way of family comedy onto our screens.

I hope not. It makes a mockery of Only Fools and Horses in my opinion and the writing is naff.
