The music channels Q and Kiss have revamped (again!)

On Q, The Q icon is now displayed in the bottom-left of the screen whilst the song title/artist text vamps into the center of the screen but instead of disappearing it disappears to the bottom-right of the screen. The only trouble is the song title/arist text is very faint and doesnt show up very well.

On Kiss, the Kiss icon and song choice text is now aligned right of the screen and the text is now a gold colour.

Q looks good. The other Emap channels should do the same. Smash Hits should have a small sh! there instead of the full name. The Hits could just put their snowflake thing there. Then it would look great. Also maybe in the case of jukebox channels they could rotate the selections in the bottom right hand corner where Q just put the current song.

The Box has changed today. The box logo is now semitransparent in the lower-right corner, whith song selections to the left of it (only they seem to have forgotten to show the selection numbers with the song titles).

I like this new cleaner look to the Box and Q. I think Kiss could still have been done better.

The Hits' presentation is absolutely brilliant IMO.

Too much clutter for my liking.

My favourite presentation is on TMF, just a simple logo and line of text, almost all of the chats/games have gone. I prefer the original music to the break stings though - especially on the Breakfast break stings. Bring back the Massive Friday though - and cut down on the "feature programmes" on weekdays.

They'll most probably introduce a similar style to the box.

I do like these clean designs creaping through.

Though most of the designs are usually clean until they clutter them up with competitions, etc.

The Kiss layout wouldn't be as bad if they moved the logo to either the bottom left or right.

They'll most probably start to style them all over the next few weeks.

The box's hasn't really changed that much, they've moved the logo, and text and made them transparent, but it looks so much better with everything in one area of the screen.

I really like the seasonal and other colour and layout changes on The Hits. Its all smoothly animated as well.

And I think TMF is pretty dull. Very Happy

Yeah, pity British TMF isn't a bit more like the original one. Sad
(Not just presentation-wise)

A new music channel has launched today - "Fizz" on channel 468.

Fizz will play Pop music from 7am-9pm, Dance music from 9pm-4am and Chillout music from 4am-7am.

On Freeview you only get TMF and The Hits, and personally out of the two I prefer TMF as it has a much broader variety and also has random theme days and stuff.

At the risk of becoming the user that only uploads mildly amusing screencaps, here's another one I saw this evening...

Capture from 'Matchmaker X-Rated' on TMF.

.. and I thought there was someone there all night, coming up with 'witty' quips about the viewers.
I'm sure you'll agree, it's well worth the £1+ text charge... Confused

If you think UK channels are bad for on screen graphics/junk, you should see NBC GIGA - which is incidentally the remains of The (NBC) Super Channel.

They often play music videos overnight but with HUGE logos/banners plastered on screen, advertising ringtones, competitons etc. I hope it doesn't get that bad here.
