I hope they play an appropriate BBC1 ident before tonight's Murder of Jill Dando.
Not Sausage Dog Walkers, or Bog Snorkelers, for example.
They may show one of the idents which are basically just the BBC One logo over a red background with no audio, which have been used recently for things like the World War One coverage.
When BBC presenter, Jill Dando was murdered on her doorstep in 1999, it was her colleague, Jennie Bond, who had to deliver the devastating news to the nation.#TheMurderOfJillDandopic.twitter.com/joUp9Y21jf
As I was only 7 at the time of her murder i don't even remember seeing her on TV at the time, but through seeing clips of her online, reading about her and watching the documentary tonight, I still find it a very sad loss.
You guys are making me feel old, I was 20 when Jill was murdered and remember the BBC bulletins that evening.
Jill was certainly one of the few presenters who recognised her own celebrity, but didn't show any form of ego on-air (and appears off air too), this despite being offered a lot of gigs.
As mentioned in the doc, where they showed Jill being interviewed by Ross King, she was one of the few presenters who you didn't mind being on more shows, thanks to her personal, but authoritative delivery.
