Really
looking forward to this. According to Moyles it was taped at TVC on Friday night. Anyone know if Phil was there? I know he's handcuffed at ITV but I'd hope they'd let him appear.
Cheers, Asa

I still have it - well bits of it on VHS somewhere. The A to Z of Going Live etc. What made that show special to me was the constant backstage laughing and howling from the crew when things didn't quite go to plan.

Not sure - saw dressing rooms for Trev and Simon and also the man who had his hand up Gordon The Gopher - so I would imagine Phil was in it.

Some of us from (ironically) TiswasOnline went to the recording. Philip & Sarah appear in a VT insert with Trev & Simon. Trev & Simon were also there in person to be interviewed by Noel, and reprised their launderette scetch (name escapes me) where they "don't do duvets".
Chris Moyles took part in the sketch and got bundled into the spin dryer and changed into... you'll have to wait and see!
Other guests included: Andi & Emma, Johnny Ball, Fearne Cotton, Arlene (Come Dancing - she was on Superstore) and Noel's best mate Mike Read - listen out for what Noel calls him in the show (unless it's edited!).
Oh, and Lenny Henry featured too - we've got a news item about it (with a couple of photos) here: www.tiswasonline.com/news.php

Feels like an absolute lifetime since I saw Going Live or L&K. Must be sure to set a reminder!
Actually, no - although Noel does do a couple of Deal Or No Deal references which obviously go down well.
Noel actually refers to Mike along the lines of being 'an expert in mediocrity'. It was a bit of a throwaway comment at the end of their 'chat' - although it's well known that they're not the best of friends... and (disclaimer alert!) perhaps I didn't hear it absolutely right... but it strikes me that they might cut it, along with Noel also saying (in response to Trev & Simon asking if he's ever stroked a weasel) "I've stroked a Beaver"... Noel actually cleverly created an edit point straight away after this by re-iterating his thank you to Trev & Simon so I think it's safe to say we won't be seeing any reference to Beaver.
That line was hilarious and perhaps that Keith interviewed Mike is testament to the fact that he and Noel don't get on?
Another brilliantly tense moment was between Maggie and Keith - I loved their line about how "We all haven't been under the laser you know!" when he made light of her glasses.
Was anyone else under the impression though that the research could have been better? Many of the clips were from Multicoloured Saturdays in 1996 while the timeline literally stopped with interviewing Andi and Emma (in 1996) - where was the celebration of Zoe and Jamie getting the Bafta? Dick and Dom? Just the briefest of scenes tying the show to TMi but otherwise, it did little to develop the Saturday morning story beyond 1996.
Fabulous show all the same though and for anyone who got into the audience, it was superb fun!
I've still got Multicoloured Saturdays on tape - if its mostly clips from that, I shall be disappointed... i.e. how Barry Manilow looked like a cameraman from Going Live.
