What the **** are MTV UK playing at?!?

Tonight, in New York City, the music industry's equivalent of the Oscars take place, the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards.
Right now, MTV UK is displaying an extra large dog in the top left corner that says "Video Music Awards - 3 Days to go".

For the first time ever, MTV UK are NOT showing the VMA's live. Just what the f*** do the knuckleheads in charge
of MTV UK think they're playing at?!? The VMA's are undoutedly THE most important MTV event all year, and all
other MTV stations worldwide will be broadcasting it live. But not MTV UK. Instead, were being more re-runs
of pathetic cr@p like Jackass and Dirty Sanchez, until 02:00, then Night Videos until 06:00

IMO, the bosses of MTV UK should be sacked for this utterly stupid decision to not broadcast this year's VMA's live.

What does everyone else think . . . ?

Prime time at the weekend will guarantee more viewers, no doubt, but there will be fans who want to see it live so it is a dumb decision.

True it would attract more viewers; but they repeat the hell out of it for throughout the next year anyway! Earlier in the week they were showing last years, AGAIN! The Live version would most probably get more viewers than the repeats they keep showing.

I wonder why they are not showing it live? Some MTV decisions lately have been stupid. Like having no music related shows on the main MUSIC TELEVISION CHANNEL. The Osbournes (as Ozzy & Kelly have been in the world of music) and the Snoop Fizzle thing (new show; looks good!) I can understand as they are music related. But Jackass, Real World, Road Trip and there's a new marriage programme too.

Well it looks like the American's have wiped up at the awards and im sure there will be more moppin gup to do after Madonna performs with her two backing singers - Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera (whom she snogs em both Tatu style!)

Cant wait to see it! Im sure MTV UK didnt show last years exactly live did they!?

Apparently some viewers are not happy that the VMAs went out "filmic" again, like last year. Hopefully they'll sort themselves out for next year and ditch it.
