So... Now it's onto the next channel changes this week in the Sky Cinema section. It seems Sky (unlike MTV) haven't updated the listings past Thursday for Sky Prem+1 to reflect it's closure.

MTV OMG finished with ABBA - Thank You For The Music

Club MTV finished with Martin Garrix ft. Bonn - High on Life

and MTV Rocks finished with Oasis - Don't Look Back In Anger

Looks like the end of MTV OMG was a carefully chosen playlist, which a lot of thought was put into.

The last few songs (in order) were as follows:

Break Up (Bye Bye) - Rupaul's Drag Race
Here's Where The Story Ends - Tin Tin Out
Bye Bye Bye - N*Sync
End Game - Taylor Swift
Your Disco Needs You - Kylie Minogue
Where The Story Ends- Blazin' Squad
My Happy Ending - Avril Lavigne
Never Really Over - Katy Perry
Goodbye - Jason Derulo
Too Good At Goodbyes - Sam Smith
Last Goodbye - Atomic Kitten
To The End - Blur
The Power of Good-bye - Madonna
Say Goodbye - S Club
My Way - Frank Sinatra
Viva Forever - Spice Girls
End of the Line - Honeyz
It Ain't Over Till It's Over - Lenny Kravitz
Party's Over - Amelia Lily
End of the Road - Boyz II Men

When was the last time Tin Tin Out - Here was the story ends played? (apart from last night?), saying that its rare that I have ever seen any of the channels play Tin Tin Out (they also had one with Tony Hadley), isn't it weird they can put more of an effort into a channel closing down than to when it was running?

May sound a bit pedantic here but what was the whole point in giving MTV OMG and Club MTV updated graphics to be closed down? I see since the closures there hasn't been a refresh onscreen on the channels people been diverted too.

What graphics are MTV's music channels using now anyway? I haven't seen them in years so I imagine they are awful, certainly were the last time I was able to tune in.

They have the NOW/NEXT on screen - I maybe wording this wrongly but what MTV OMG/Club MTV had was more of a "widescreen" look compared to what the other channels had ie MTV Music/Hits (was going to say even Rocks but thats gone), just seems for me in particular that those 2 channels that had more of a recent revamp especially Club MTV to just drop them than push the same onto the others just seems strange (seems more pointless than anything to have done it)

Music, Hits, Base, Classic and Rocks are still/were using this package with alternate colours for each channel (which I don't think fit very well)

The launches of both channels happened over two years ago, I doubt they had the intention of closing them two years down the line.

Was it that long ago that the relaunches happened? I was under the impression when those channels relaunched that the MTV channels would align with the updated packages but didn't but its still ironic though that it was those two channels that had the new feel to the channels to close, saying that when is the next refresh meant to happen?

I thought it was every couple of years but if that was the recent refresh 2 years ago I guess its the waiting game if they'll be another update... I think if there was another one they may as well just realign it with the graphics MTV use (main).

To be blunt, it looks like more thought went into that than most of MTV’s music programming for the past ten years.

Thanks for the videos. Out of those channels, Club MTV had the nicest looking song title graphics, even if the colours were a bit garish. I'm still surprised channels can never seem to get the graphics lined up with the DOG, or they never leave space for long song titles or songs by several featured artists and they are either just cut off, go on to a second line they didn't plan for or the scroll.

The song title graphics used on MTV Germany are like the ones for MTV Rocks but they are taller and with a larger font, and it has the song and artist on one line and it regularly has to scroll and on a few occasions I've seen, the full artist and song details aren't even shown before the graphic disappears. I think that information is best kept to 2 lines. I still also miss the late 90's MTV graphics where 4 white boxes appeared and we got Song, Artist, Album and release year all neatly displayed, with the box getting bigger if a longer title had to be displayed.

Looks a bit like they searched the music library for some key words: 'Goodbye', 'Bye', 'Over', 'Final', 'End', 'Ending' and pulled the results into a playlist, then picked out a few more songs manually like "My Way"... The final 3 look specially picked though.

The final song on The Hits back in 2008 was Thank You For The Music too (just before it became 4Music)

i'm surprised they dug up Frank Sinatra .... when was the last time he was ever played on their channels? (I'm guessing at least VH1 in the 90s), not sure in regards of MTV Classic

Frank Sinatra’s version of “Silent Night” is played on MTV Xmas every year.
