MTV Dance's new graphics

It looks as though the Devil's time may be up as these graphics were tested at around 4am last night!

About time it had a revamp.... Hopefully they can try and play more Dance tunes and not hip hop all the time.

Not bad, but MTV Dance has had their identity for years, and that devil thing was getting on my nerves.

The new look has now launched.

At last. I was getting confused.

Seems unlikely, given the way Kiss and Galaxy have gone I'd be surprised if there wasn't even more hip hop and so-called "R n B" (spit) and much less dance. Let's hope I'm wrong.

Is the channel now perminantely called "MTV Dance Beats" because it blooming well seems it?

The channel shows 'MTV Dance beats' on screen between 6am and 8pm, 'MTV Dance Club' between 8pm and 6am and 'MTV Dance Chilled' during the Chill Out Zone (4am - 6am at weekends).

And showing all the hallmarks of a channel that has no idea about dance music.

I wonder why MTV Dance fill up their channel with R&B when they have MTV Base for that.

They claim to show Rnb because dance music doesn't get them enough viewers. Although surely it could be argued that if a serious effort was made with the channel, true dance fans would return to the channel and viewing figures would rise.

I guess they'd rather take the easy... safe option.

Them and every other radio and TV station in the country. If only one of them would have the spine to actually do what it set out to do then it could well be a huge hit.
