Slightly amused you are doing a Mr And Mrs style show, when you don't know the format mechanics - I'd have thought that was rather important for the smooth running of the event, however....
Format (from memory - it's been a while since I sat goggled eyed at 5.15 on a Friday evening watching Border's finest moments in network LE production..)
Mr and Mrs answer gentile questions on each others habits.
If Mr was answering questions on Mrs - she would be in the soundproof booth (which was so soundproofed you also needed to wear a pair of headphones playing classical music).
3 questions were asked to Mr about Mrs (i.e which slipper does she first put on in the morning? How does she like her bacon cooked? Or does she swallow? (or did I imagine the last one a dream

)
Once Mr has answered 3 questions about Mrs, she comes out (of the booth, rather than just coming 'out' which would have given the IBA a series of heart attacks) and the answers the same 3 questions about herself. Each correct 'matched' answer won a very low amount of money - we are talking a tenner here, think of the budget - and then Mrs bats 3 answers to different questions back to Batey about Mr, who is now taking his turn to look stupid in the soundproofed booth.
Two couples have ago at the game, and I think, the highest scorers came back at the end of the show to answer 3 more questions (but only one about the other with no reverse questioning as per the main game) if those 3 questions were answered correctly they won 'the jackpot' - which never got about £300, and rolled over from week to week somehow.
All couples irrespective of the money they won also got a Mr & Mrs carridge clock to stick up the loft when they got home, and Derek Batey patronising them for 10 mins on national television.
As Derek would say, God Bless my love.
