Remind me, who said the BBC isn't pro-Labour?

As opposed to Tory cronyism during the Thatcher and Major years?

May I first of all apologise for the grammatical error I made in my previous post. It appears that I flicked from past tense to present tense. I just want to correct myself before a grammar pedant arrives.

Andy, as you well know, News Corp. have programmed me so that I can not respond to the word 'Thatcher' - oops I just did.

It just seems a bit of an oversight to appoint yet another chairman who has links to a political party.

Tory MPs were notorious for putting their wives and close friends on Quangos, so it's a bit rich they're up in arms!

lol@ c@t. Go on, you know you want to talk about her.... She's Grantparent B isn't she?

The trouble is, most likely candidates for chairman of the BBC would be people who have proved themselves in other high profile jobs/positions.  It seems very unlikely that anyone of that standing would not have any political leaning or opinion.

He's just resigned from the labour party anyway (and the investment bank Goldman Sachs) as John Birt and several other people did before.
