Why would it have an ident on the beginning, Mr Bean was made long after the days when each programme had idents on the beginning

ITV have been using the international versions which have the 90s Thames triangle logo at the beginning. Although it's not really an ident.

This is just a guess, please don't take it as fact but I think the versions they are showing are the international copies, which might of kept frontcaps for a lot longer.
Correct me if i'm wrong someone.

Cheers for that info, though I'll be in work, I'm going to set the DVD recorder for it, I can't believe they are actually showing it, as they usually say their "will be shown at a later date", but as Mr Bean is an old repeat, I wasn't expecting anything, but good news indeed.
Sorry if it has been mentioned somewhere, but why was Hardware pulled this afternoon and replaced with a *fab* Mark Curry edition of Catchphrase?

ITV have kept their promise by broadcasting "The Curse Of Mr Bean" which was taken off because of an ITV News Special for the recent Tsunami Disaster.
It will be broadcast Sunday 30th January at 2:45pm on ITV1.
I know i'll be taping and watching it.

The fact that Hardware usually features adult humour or strong language may have been something to do with it. It seems odd it was scheduled for a sunday afternoon in the first place.
The Mark Curry Catchphrase had the 'hearts' credits left on as well

Ahhh I see.
Useless fact: that triangle logo was known as the Ice Cream
