How long has this been going on for? I'm talking about the original Mr Bean and not the animated one because I've noticed this appearing on Nickelodeon at 7pm and it's confusing to have a comedy programme like this on a children's channel and it's a comedy with some occasional naughty bits in it ( but I would watch this when I was a child).
I've found it more baffling as it's already on Paramount Comedy 2 in a prime time schedule of 10pm.

Topic Starter still could have found "Programmes being shown on the same channel" and entered the question in their. Or even put it in the "Kids TV" forum.

When I saw it on Nickelodeon, the episode where Mr Bean goes to a swimming pool and looses his trunks, they cut out the bit where he runs off naked (you only see his bum!) I assume that the episodes are airing uncut on Paramount though.

At least they're showing the originals now. The animated series is awful.

I like both series.

When I was about five, infant school, (1995, round-a-bout), i found 'Mr. Bean' Hillarious. It is brilliant for children. It is comic and light-hearted show, about the bumblings of a benevolent, incompetant man.

Along with Nicholas Lyndhurst's surprised stare, I reckon Rowan Atkinson has one of the most comical faces on TV. Laughing

I reckon it won't be long before ITV re-run Mr Bean episodes on ITV3 - perhaps at Christmas.

There's a second film due out next march - "French Bean" - so I expect ITV will roll them out around then.

I can't see them being on ITV3, for me it just doesn't really fit in with ITV3. The thing was ITV repeated them like mad during the 1990's, but then by the turn of the decade they had just stopped. Though I remember reading an interview with Rowan Atkinson in the Radio Times a couple of years ago saying that they felt like giving Bean a rest, which I think is a good idea. Then ITV1 repeated a few during Christmas in 2004 and then showed some again in 2005, but stopped yet again, the thing was they did well for ITV in the ratings AIUI.

Plus Tiger Aspect seems to have full control over the episodes now rather than Thames, anyone who was watched Bean recently on Nick and Paramount 2, will notice that Thames has been erased from the majority of copyright. Tiger Aspect will probably want to sell the programme to whoever may want it most, in the case here it's MTV Networks.
