I'm wondering if anyone else has had the same problem with this dvd

I bought it the other day from HMV Bond Street (London W1) opended it up & put it in the dvdplayer. However instead of been able to choose from the three live action episodes I ended up with 8 cartoon episodes.

I took out the disk to see if they had put in the wrong one, however the label printed on the disc was the same as the front cover (the best of Mr bean volume 1).

I took it back to HMV & the guy behind the counter said that somebody else said the same thing. He said I could change it for another one but it probably contain the same episodes or change it for something else (which I did I changed it for OFAH series 5) but I am rather confused.

Is volume 1 supposed to contain the live action episodes or cartoon episodes.

I know a few people on here have mentioned they have the DVD but I'm quite confused could anyone please help

Oh this guy brought a DVD back to us at WHSmith and complained. We gave him a replacement and he hasn't been back to my knowledge.

I was wondering if it had been reported elsewhere as it was obv a batch problem not a one off.

My volume 1 contains the three live action ones...I'm guessing there was some duplication error which caused some copies of the animated DVD to have the wrong label stamped on the front., and then put in the wrong packaging.

Can you not appreciate how confusing it is to abbreviate words by using numbers (txt spk), especially when referring to quantities and money?

It's a bad habit so knock it off. There's a new year resolution for you.

Well I'll try Woolworhts in Ilford tommorrow (if they have any in stock the Ilford one usually has more dummy boxes on display that they have in stock!)

One thing that amazed me (especially Bond Street HMV) is that they knew there was a problem but left them all on the shelves.

So it is the live action ones, good I don't like the animated ones.

Thanks for your help.

It's definatly a batch fault, as there's been people on Digitalspy comaplining about the same thing.

I too had the same problem. I bought a copy from Tesco in Sheffield which contained 8 animated episodes. I took it back and exchanged it for another copy - which again was the animated series. So i took it back again-but this time just got a re-fund.

Yeah, thats where I read it, I got my copy from Play.com, the weird thing is that there is no DVD release of the animated series, the only thing that comes close is that there is one episode of the animated series on the normal DVD.

I've read of this problem on a few DVD forums, so it's quite widespread

Don't know why you're all getting ripped off.

Just get the Region 1 "The Whole Bean" DVD Set and enjoy every episode of Mr Bean for not much more £££ than 3 episodes!
