Well I'm not fussed on Echo Beach, Moving Wallpaper is quite good. Having said that, my 75-yr-old gran loves Echo Beach. (enjoying it more than Corrie and Emmerdale at the moment) So it seems Jason Donovan has some older fans.

Big drop there. Shame that it was beaten by a repeat. Sad

I think they have gone for the wrong night - they should definately show it on Thursdays rather than Fridays as a lot of the target audience will be out on Fridays.

Next week will be the real test.

It might get a boost from Vera's death on Corrie. Then again, people seem to be voting with their remote more often these days and won't just stay with a channel after their favourite show ends.

Anyone know how much MW and EB got last night?

3.5m/2.8m respectively, according to DS.

Although I may be the only one watching it, I thought both shows were better than normal last night.

Hopefully the producer gets axed in M/W and E/B improves Laughing

I tried watching Echo Beach on Friday night.

What was it? I was confused by it.

As I understand it, Jason Donavan's character's son's girlfriend is having an affair with a man who is engaged to that woman with the bottle of wine, who secretly fancied that boy working in the café, who was having an affair with Robert Sugden from Emmerdale Farm , who was in turn secretly making love to Peggy Mitchell from EastEnders , who is having a discreet affair with Huw Edwards who secretly has a crush on Geraint Vincent and Trevor McDonald.

Or, at least, that's how it seemed to me. I didn't 'get it' at all. All it seemed to be was an attempt by ITV to attract people who like gawking at Jason Donavan in swimming trunks.

It certainly succeeded in getting me to flick to BBC2 for The Choir .
