The Liverpool, Manchester, and Preston local TV services all used to operate on the same frequency from Winter Hill, and thus you'd only receive the one that was predominant (or nothing if two or more mangaled each other up) However very recently they have all moved to individual frequencies, so as you've observed it is possible to receive the 'wrong' one!

blimey close to me!!! I bet I could guess with what area of Bury with the bus route you live on!!!
Due to not having access to the "local" channels as only have Sky, have the standard of teh channels got even worse thaan when they first started?

It looks like CBS Justice has some new idents. I've not checked but I'm guessing the other CBS channels may also have new idents.

None of them are new.. All nine have been in use since the name change.....

Doesn't look like this got mentioned at the time (only saw comments about the channel DOG changing in the UKTV thread). But according to posts the switchover of playout from UKTV to Discovery happened in late November. I'm assuming this was around the 20th/21st as Really seem to have dropped all the people idents in favour of a single one since then.

Yep, the switch (dual running playout from both ends) was on the 21st.
