Movie Mix becomes Sony Movie Channel

Tomorrow - the culmination of four years work (January 2017)

Tomorrow, Sony has planned to absorb the Movie Mix brand and turn it into the Sony Movie Channel - with a new look as such and a new lineup of films to show.

Primetime schedule as follows:
6.10pm - SWAT
9pm - Godzilla
11.55pm - Predator

Change occurs at 9am tomorrow.

Although mentioned several times in the Freeview thread, the fact that it's getting new presentation tomorrow was a trigger for a thread like this.

SWAT, a 12 rated movie with a fair bit of swearing and violence, is being shown at 6:10pm? Great. That'll really be worth watching, cut to pieces. Rolling Eyes

Wonder how horrible the DOG will be...

Probably FTV only I think - thereby preventing Freesat carriage.

it used to. But morethanMOVIES closedand became True Crime.

What's happened to Movie Mix this morning? In its final minutes it was showing adverts, a promo for movies at 9am and the promo for Sony Movie Channel, going straight into teleshopping.

What happened at that junction was a very unclean cut where Movie Mix ceased transmission and the Sony Movie Channel (which, don't forget is already on Sky) took over mid-promo.

The trailer didn't even finish - Movie Mix was completely replaced with a Sony Movie Channel feed when I was observing it on Freeview.

That video is the Freeview feed, and it is what you describe.

Weren't they effectively the same channel, just with different names? Or am I thinking of another pair of channels?
