This Morning's regional feature

Becky Mantin's been going around the regions and visited many places and chatted to local news presenters.

However today, she visited Windsor Castle and chatted to Meridian North reporter Stacey Poole.

One thing, I thought Windsor was in the ITV London region?

Is this series only for the southern half of the country then?

So far I only know of Anglia (twice), Meridian and TSW being covered.

Becky said that all of the ITV regions wll be covered in celebration of ITV 50.

I suppose Becky's OB's from the South Bank count as visiting the London region? Although it's directly outside the studios of This Morning!

The very first one was from Blackpool and used Fred Talbot who now works on Granada Reports.
The Daily Mirror even made the mistake of saying Fred was returning to the show.

Is This Morning staying on now for the whole of the year.?.

It usually takes a summer break.

I taped the ident when they did HTV West!

I like the music on the ident,maybe they could use that for the actual ITV50 ident in september!

It's borderline, the same with Reading

The Midlands has also been represented, I remember seeing Llewella Bailey on This Morning a few weeks ago.

It is kind of in both, and neither.

Viewers in the Golden Triangle (Henley, Marlow, Windsor and Maidenhead etc.) can often receive Meridian North from Hannington, and/or London from Crystal Palace, and/or London from High Wycombe.

Even as far West as Reading there are a mix of aerials pointing in different directions.

The situation is slightly different for Freeview viewers - where Crystal Palace is usually easier to receive in areas where you get both CP and Hannington on analogue. In DSat postcode mapping terms the ITV London region is usually dominant - until you get to Reading/Basingstoke kind of geography.

In editorial terms, I think Meridian North (being a smaller region) covers the area more than London.
