Morning version of The One Show?

A trailer is now on the BBC Trailers YouTube channel:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tQsKvleC5pk

In the end shot it showed a bit of the dock10 building so could this suggest that Morning Live will be coming from a studio in Salford and not NBH Studio V as most live daytime programming for BBC one tends to come from

Or it could be that Gethin was in Manchester when they needed to shoot his bits of the trail - Gethin has been studying for a Masters degree in Manchester I believe, and may well live there some of the time as a result. (If Kym Marsh is based in that part of the country too it would make sense to shoot their bits there?)

It’s being done from the One Show studio.

Forgive the lateness to the discussion, but I've only just seen a trailer for this new program, and I have opinions. The BBC One Daytime schedule really needs a shot in the arm and has done for a long, long time. Bargain Hunt needs to go. Dominic Littlewood needs to go, I'm sick of him. In my mind, this is a good idea, but seeing it in practice is a different thing altogether.

This Morning has been going on for over 30 years and is an established part of Daytime television. The whole ITV Daytime schedule is strong, from a Daytime TV perspective. The BBC hasn't had a good daytime schedule for years now, so clearing out 2-3 hours for a new magazine show (which, most importantly, has a 45-minute head start on This Morning) will be an interesting experiment.

If I were BBC One, I'd probably reformat the schedule a bit more, and move BBC 2's Politics Live to BBC 1. So it would be like this:

6:00- Breakfast
9:00- Morning Live
11:00- Daily Politics (which would move to BBC 2 for a second hour)
13:00- BBC News at One/Regional Opt-Outs
13:45- Doctors (Whenever it comes back)
14:15- Rotating drama slot (Whatever limited-run drama is airing at the time)
15:00- Escape to the Country
15:45- Garden Rescue
16:30- Rotating Daytime TV show with Dom Littlewood, or one of those types
17:15- Pointless

And that's what I'd do
Television from the Liver and Onions.

The chances of The Daily Politics going to BBC One is zero, it would drag the entire schedule down.

Bargain Hunt and Homes Under the Hammer still rate well, there's no reason to get rid of them.

Whew nelly, this thread surely didn't take long to turn into fantasy scheduling!
Do you even read these?

Guessing if it is from Salford, they'll have a cover for Gethin on Friday's, as he's been announced as doing Strictly ITT from Elstree

Well if it's a morning version of The One Show a random male guest host on a Friday is just part of the course.
Turns out nobody had 2020 vision.

If there would be male guest presenters please not Amol Rajan, he belongs on the news not The One Show/Morning Live BUT if it's coming from The One Show (Studio V @ NBH) then Gethin would be able to do 5 days presumably

Gethin has posted a sneak preview of the set on his Instagram.

Not using the conventional One Show set... different sofas, Persian rug and a smaller screen. And clever use of Japanese style paper shaded borders / shelves covering up the big ‘one’ lettering at the window.

Is that not the Sunday Morning Live set?

Sunday Morning Live uses the same set as The One Show, just with yellow throws on the sofas.

That is the Sunday Morning Live set... Gethin was a guest on the show. That’s just a behind the scenes pic with Sean and Sally.
