I doubt that would look different enough
Maybe they could use the space that was originally meant to be for Breakfast with the canal side view?
What studios do they actually own in Salford, could they studio share with something else (I doubt they will use the third party studios that they’d have to pay for, every day)
Considering we've been repeatedly told Breakfast couldn't possibly use another studio used by the BBC I doubt Morning Live will have much more options.
I wonder if morning live takes over the breakfast sofa during a commercial break?

Wonder if they'll use the space Watchdog occupied in the audience reception area of the Dock 10 studio block?
Few false bookcase flats across some of the windows and a few barriers in front of the windows to keep the 'local wildlife' from straying too close and you can get away with the same ground level view as you do at BH.

Maybe just maybe they will find a way to swap Sport and Breakfast studios. Breakfast with an inside backdrop swinging round to the outside view for Morning Live.
But then NWT will need to move downstairs as well.
Time will tell

I doubt it. On the opposite side of the Sport studio is an office where the sport team work, so you wouldn't really get an outside view.

Is it a space for internal briefings? I feel like I've seen it on Twitter recently.
I wonder what that balcony space they've used for sports hosting in the past is doing these days? Outdoor space, indoor space, natural light and in a BBC owned building IIRC.

Nice project over the past couple of days, converting Quay House event space into a @BBCNWT ‘budget studio’. Used for as-live reaction interview (with manual clean feed mix) by @abbiedjones, then @maireadtsmyth live into the 6:30 programme. Cameras: @_alexmccartney / @Brijeshp pic.twitter.com/Z78N6pyzmm

HQ12 which is the space Watchdog occupied wouldn't be a bad shout.

Yes, it's an area for internal meetings, sits round the back of the canteen seating areas on the top floor of Quay House.

In that wide shot behind the photographer, there's a corridor which runs the full length of the floor parallel to full height glass windows. The whole floor becomes an echo chamber as soon as you have any other people up there
and
there's an open central atrium (not my photo). Fifth floor also has the canteen and lots of open seating, inevitably noisy towards lunch, and the Academy's theatre/presentations space adjacent to that corner area in the photos.
The top floor of Dock House (formally called the "Alan Turing Imaginarium"), previously used for temporary Commonwealth Games and Olympics studio space, is currently long-term rigged with a large socially-distanced remote sport production gallery dubbed S-ROC, so that's unusable.
The only other potential space is a ground floor space in Bridge House - it has a double height ceiling but is equipped for multimedia presentations, videoconferencing and departmental meetings, not studio use. Its layout and apps room capacity would require a fairly large project to provide a suitable studio and gallery. It could be possible given the budget, it would be lovely to see another show come from Salford. But I suspect Dock10 may get a call...
For a controlled environment presentation space, they'd either have to
* repurpose a suitably large empty space for a new studio (there isn't one)
* redesign or hotseat in the Breakfast studio (difficult and impractical but not impossible)
* change the current studio allocations and refit (££), build a new studio (££££ + no practical space available in any of the BBC Salford buildings)
* re-fit everything and do a full infrastructure build-out including new gallery and production facilities (£££££ + time), or
* use studio and gallery facilities in Dock10 (£, but possibly negotiable under existing dry hire arrangements)
Who knows, maybe we might see a bit more VR...
