This morning television

tuned in half way through and it is quite frankly painfully bad viewing.
How the hell that pair of idiots got in, I will never know.
They were so wooden.

I tuned in at the point where there was a big graphic on screen saying 'APOLOGIES FOR THE SOUND PROBLEMS'. This faded away then returned just minutes later.
Then I was greeted by Nolan, saying 'And lost more to come including [looks around for a bit waiting for coming up slide], live to Coronation Street where... where, so and so will be talking to Fred and Eve etc etc...'

After they'd returned they did the interview, only then did I realise the studio looked like something from Noddy Land.
The interview was painfully crap, I actually wanted (for the first time in quite a while) to get up and turn the TV off, but thought I should leave it for pure comedy value.
Denise looked quite stupid on the chair, with that pair of planks sitting next to her.

Then... Midday Money.
Great, I thought! Can't be THAT bad... can it?

They've actually made Midday Money worse. Until now it was the best quiz show on TV, hilariously funny and just good all round entertainment.
It was so bad it actually forced me to leave the room.

Tomorrow I will try and watch that new thing on Sky One, see if that's any better.

That graphic reading 'APOLOGIES FOR THE SOUND PROBLEMS' was a mistake it should have said 'APOLOGIES FOR TWIGGY & COLLEN, THEY ARE DREADFUL AREN'T THEY'

Let's just hope they're on short term contracts! I feel a Big Breakfast-style sackathon coming on...

Haven't seen the new midday money yet, but I did notice that the qualifying question on today's show was 'What job does Fred Elliot do' and the options were 'A: Butcher, B: Baker, C: Candlestick Maker' - is it me or are even these getting worse???

The Lorraine show on Sky One seems better - at least in terms of presenters! However, the set looks a tad on the cheap side - just a dodgy-looking curtain hung behind the GMTV sofa.

Oh and I wouldn't bother with 'Lorraine' on Sky One either.  TV companies need to realise that daytime TV doesn't have to be all cookery, makeovers and girlie chats.  And why does every programme that Lorraine Kelly does have to have her flippin name in the tile, 'Lorraine Live', 'LK Today', 'Lorraine'.  Enough of this self-indulgence, she's nothing special either !!

Is that really the GMTV set & table then ?  That's definately the sofa.  It must be funny watching them put that curtain up at 9:19am or is that why Lorraine does the last part of LK Today in front of a chromakey screen ?

It's probably to give them more time to change the studio.

Did anyone hear the producer of Nuts + Bolts on Real Radio over the weekend saying that he wants Nuts + Bolts to go network on ITV1?

As good as Nuts + Bolts is i dont think it would translate to a nationwide audience just like Barry Welsh and everyone would hate it just because its welsh and would instantly despise it!

I think Nuts + Bolts could easily replace one of the episodes of Crossroads as Crossroads has already become dire and just a former shadow of how bad the original series was! Old programmes should be left in the past and should only crop up in these nostalgic programmes like i love 1992 etc.

Dont bring back Auf Weidersein Pet (or however you spell it!) get rid of cross roads and get John leslie and Lorraine to present the new ITV1 daytime programme and remove it as far as possible from the current This Morning look and feel. This Morning WAS Richard and Judy and previously when every new this morning series was 'relaunched' the set, graphics, location, studio, guests all changed but Richard and Judy never did and they were the constant in it! Now we have near enough every thing changing and the viewers are feeling a bit lost and have nothing familiar to relate to!

SCRAP THIS MORNING NOW - and get a male/female combo back like and lorraine and john, fern and john etc and change the programme 100% so there aint a whiff of richard and judy in it!

I believe Nuts & Bolts has been out on ITV2. However it hasn't been on more recently. When does it air on HTV ?

Nuts + Bolts began on 3rd September 2001 and is shown on Monday and friday at 17:35 in direct competition with neighbours and the weakest link.

Classic cockup happened before the first episode of the brand new series - the programme clock faded up about 20 seconds before it was supposed to be on air and then you could see the clock counting down until the programme actually started then the announcer talked and apologised throughout the opening titles!
Good old HTV they never let us down for something to talk about! Oh how i laughed when they had spent hundreds of thousands pounds making a half decent drama but couldnt even run a tape on time!
