This Morning Surprise For Phil

A dog was flashed up on screen that there would a big surprise for Phil after midday .Not sure what it is but Fern is on the show today she is normally off on Fridays .Have looked for This Morning thread and can't find it wanted to post before the surprise.

Quite an emotional surprise for Phil.A recap on his 25 yrs in TV footage of the Broom cupboard Going Live .Tributes from his wife and children his parents Sarah Green and Fern.They did one for Fern's 25 yrs ago about a couple of years ago well that was the surprise.

I don’t like Phil's style of presenting......He's always shouting and emphasising certain words when he speaks!

He was all right when he had brown hair! Since he gave up on trying to cover it up, I’ve not been keen on it.

I thought John Lesley was better on This Morning.

John Lesley probably was a better presenter but back on 2002 he had a little issue with an ex celebrity girlfriend, an autobiography, and another tv presenter putting his foot in his mouth

I think Philip was drafted in temporarily whist it got sorted out and sort of, stayed.

John Lesley hasn't returned to TV since then.

Philip's surprise was good, nice of Jane Dansen to let them say she was on to cover up the time slot for the surprise.

Phil is not my favourite but i have warmed to him he is a nice person .I love Fern when she is off i can't bear it I realy like Ruth but the programme is not the same when Fern is off.She is just so warm and genuine.I remember a few years back they had Tris Payne filling in i think he would be FAB as a regular stand in he is gorgeous not only the ratings that go up when he is about.

I prefer Phil on This Morning rather than Dancing on Ice.

I also prefer him to John Leslie.

I agree. Although I find both Phil & Fern rather smug and annoying on TM these day's. Never liked John Lesley - he always seemed bit sleazy so I wasn't surprised when all the allegation started.

I do like it when Phil and Fern have a moment where its just laughter for a few minutes and it appears on an out-take show a few months later.

Fern and Phil are a breath of fresh air compaired to Richard and Judy IMO

Phil and Fern are great .I don't find them smug in anyway.
