Man vs Machine (who created the new identity) have now posted videos of:

1. Behind the Scenes making of the idents
2. On-Screen graphics package
3. All the idents

In a shameless plug, please visit my new blog for the links:

or here is the link to the Man vs Machine project page

The logo and effects shown on their webpage seem much more detailed, or maybe because we are only viewing it in standard definition.

Interesting to see the More4 HD and More4+1 versions of the logo.

The logo looks much better on the night idents, but notice like C4 they're using a mix of grey and white as the main promo colour scheme. The new menu is a bit dull too - nice enough but expected something more in line with the revamped C4 version.

Since that site isn't loading very well here is a link to the video on Vimeo. You can find links to the other videos through there.

Interesting to see the plastic flipping things are real and not partly CG like I thought.

By crikey that gives you a great insight into the amount of time, energy and detailed hard work went in to just so few 15 second films.

Everyone's going on about how "clean" these idents are. Other than being one of the usual clichés used for new idents, could someone please try to justify this statement

Not sure what you're expecting really. Thinking something is fresh is subjective. I don't think anyone can justify it in words, nor need justify it. Just people sharing opinions.

The DOG is pretty pointless - it suffers the same problem as ITV2s early smudge:

I like the presentation, but the logo sits awkwardly as the 'MORE' text is never visible enough - most notably the E which although static is almost always invisible.

Not a fan of this ident, as the inset zooms out at a different pace to the wall, which just looks jarring...

Oh, I don't like that either. I had forgotten.

Hm, didn't get that feeling at all because I figured it was a window looking out.

Mmmm, I got that the second time, actually. I don't know, I still find it odd somehow.
