Digital Spy is also reporting the confirmation of the schedule, but it appears that More 4+1 will also launch on the same day too available on Sky, Cable and Freeview...Shocked

Digital Spy posted:
The channel will be complemented by a one-hour timeshift channel from the off on Sky, Freeview and NTL.

A few more bits and pieces of info from http://www.channel4sales.com/news/news-article.aspx?year=2005&id=285

The Daily Show will air after the news bulletin at 8.30pm, the night after it airs in the US.

The high-profile one-off dramas and documentary films will air on Monday nights, with A Very Social Secretary, documentary Animal Research and Hitler drama Downfall during the first month.

I wonder if a barker / promo loop will begin tomorrow as I think the Top Up TV stream on the C4 Mux is supposed to end today.

P.S. Does anyone (with the talent ) feel like making a 3-D mock of the More4 logo, illustrating how it may look on C4/More4 cross promotions (in the way the E4 logo is used to promote shows that air on C4 and E4!)

nice surprise to see two logos both not using the horrid green. Actually the colour scheme of the two more 4 logos in the trailer look like sky one but lighter, brown and light blue, light blue and a darker blue...

Just watched the trailer. The logo doesn't look AS bad in the short clips I saw of it.

I'll be interested to see how, if at all the logo will animate. It certainly doesn't look 3d from the shots I've seen so far.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Joel.

Some interesting things from the promo, mainly about what C4 repeats will be mixed in with the new content.

Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares and Jamie's School Dinners are both featured, along with Bremner Bird and Fortune.

It's also of note that there are "talking head" clips from Kevin McCloud, Sarah Beeny and Tony Robinson - so perhaps Grand Designs, Property Ladder and Time Team will also be in the schedule - but then again, it's Jon Snow who talks about More4 News, which will be presented by Sarah Smith.

Also of note is the late talk show is referred to as More4 After Dark - is this in addition to The Last Word or has it been renamed as "The Last Word"?

As mentioned in another thread More4 has appeared on Ch 13 on Freeview, after a re-scan of course, though at the moment it's just showing a blank screen.

The channel does look quite promising, as it's rare these days when a commercial broadcaster launches a high brow original service. Also looking foward to seeing More4 News, shame it can't be on at a different time, 8pm is too soon after Channel 4 News.

Like Newsnight is too soon after the Ten O'Clock News?

Watch the promo - More4 News is designed to complement Channel 4 News, not be a direct copy.

It was always going to be difficult to schedule More4 News.

I do think a couple of News summaries later in the evening (perhaps at 9pm and 11pm) would have been useful, as it's always seems odd that when a story is developing during the evening, C4 News won't update you on it until the next day.

There is now a screen on Freeview Ch 13 which says 10 October on the left, the More4 logo on the right, and the url channel4.com/more4 on the bottom left.
