The contract the Channel 4 and Sky signed probably stipulates that More4 will be added to the EPG on Monday 10th at about 10am.

Channel 4 would have had the opportunity to have the channel on the EPG earlier but they decided against this for whatever reason.

None the less, this doesn't respect the deal that Sky have proposed to their Sky+ subscribers - and therfore shows contempt.

P.S. Mods - as usual with launches/relaunches, when More4 launches on Monday night can we have this thread closed and a new one opened?

Why?

So it can be stickied and called "Official".

Completely pointless exercise if you ask me.

So people wanting to discuss the presentation etc. of the channel don't have to wade through 14 pages of people predicting (or not actually) what it'll be like!

So what will the presentation be like - seen no glimpses of it at all!

The More4 presentation on the adverts reminds me of 1980s LWT style graphics for some obscure reason. Don't ask me why.

Interesting that More4 will be available on Analogue Cable. I didn't think it would be worth it at this stage in the proceedings.

So... any chance of it being bugless? Besides being The Right Thing To Do, it would really put the wind up BBC Four.

Don't know - I doubt it, though the DOG will either be too small so you can't read the "MORE" or too big so you can read the "MORE". It's also begin out white and opaque, then fade over the next couple of weeks!

From the website "The Daily Show" will be last nights US edition on Tue-Fri, with Mondays show having highlights from the previous week.

Also, More4 will be screening police drama Hill Street Blues and medical drama St Elsewhere.

No news of NYPD Blue, which some had hoped might find a place in the More4 schedule. C4 haven't screened it for two or three years, and were a couple of years behind with that series - but it's still listed on the C4 website.

Also, something of note but it looks like the More4 trailers will have a similar design to the C4 trailers, with programme info on the left and logo on the right.

I was expecting something different considering E4 has very few similarities with C4 presentation.

And finally, was anything about More4 mentioned on C4 News at Noon?

Now that it's on the EPG, is it Free to Air, Free to View, or part of the Sky subscription ?

i like the idea of this being a 'sticky' topic now.

I've noticed some rather interesting marketing strategies for the More 4 launch...

Last night's 50 Greatest Documentaries on Channel 4 was clearly no scheduling accident...It was obviously a big 'More 4' type programme to attract the target 'adult' audience who were then bombarded with More 4 trailers during the breaks.

Also I noticed that on the free East Is East DVD with Saturday's Guardian, you can't fast-forward through the More 4 preview, and have to watch it in full before you can see the film.

All rather cheeky, but effective.

Glad to see NTL have added More4 and More4 +1 to the EPG (166 and 167), considering that NTL haven't even bothered to put on the channels they promised for September, such as EuroNews and MotorsTV.

But I'm looking foward to More4 tonight, I will definately be watching.
