Still alot of TBA for the first weekend but Father Ted is scheduled on Sunday at 9pm, followed by Curb your Enthusiasm.

Wow didn't expect Father Ted to be on More4, it's more E4 really, but not that I am complaining.

I'm really looking foward to More4, a good News service on the way with some good high brow Comedies, Dramas and Documentaries.

Was checking out Digiguide, and notice that the schedule seems to have changed to that initially put out with More4 News now schedule at 9pm rather than 8pm.
Digiguide is also listing a +1 channel, and maybe you saw that?

If so, it seems odd for the news to get a +1 repeat.

Same here really. I thought something like Drop the Dead Donkey or even Desmonds would fit in, but Father Ted is a bit of a surprise.

I think though the mix of programming does look promising though, with More4 having things like Father Ted scheduled that would bring viewers to shows like Curb your Enthusiasm who wouldn't neccessarily watch them.

Not sure why Jon Snow features in trails for More4 and it's website - it's not him doing the news on the channel.

Seen that one - probably he is more known than the newsreader that will be doing it? What does that Martin Sheen look like in the trailer, over the top I think.

But if he's not on the channel, surely this is false advertising! You can't just put someone on an advert because they're better known than what you're actually going to show! Living TV could do trails for 24 - they're not showing it, but it's better known than the programmes they are showing!

He's doing a 5-minute weekly Snowmail slot on Saturday evenings.

Re: Jon Snow - though he does Snowmail each week, it wouldn't be false advertising including him in the trails as they don't state he will be on the channel.

Notice the Guardian this week and last are giving away FilmFour DVDs, with the More4 logo featuring in the ad (though not C4).

Completly off topic, but the ads for Max and Paddy on DVD feature a C4 DOG in the bottom right - so this is how C4 programmes would look if it was a US network!

Max and Paddy sent me a fabulous tshirt to wear with "that'll dink dank do on dvd" - I squealed.

Tried the box downstairs. Still no sign of more4. E4 is *STILL* encrypted

Quite. Una Stubbs and Alan 'Fluff' Freeman were on the original Channel 4 pre-launch promo, but AFAIK they never had their own shows.

But surely its only false advertising if they are actually promoting something that isn't happening? In the trailer he isn't actually promoting a programme that he is in or mentioning that he is to appear regularly (although you say snowmail but for talking sake say he isn't doing anything). What about as a model for the trailer?
