More 4+1 on Freeview

Oh well, the dropping of More4+1 has now screwed my evening viewing up. Could go straight from Weakest Link to Simpsons to Two And A Half Men to Deal Or No Deal on More4+1 and then onto whatever. Now I can't do that.

Oh well, it was coming, was good while it lasted. Pity More4's site still says its available on Channel 31. Since it took four months to get that on the site in the first place, I reckon it'll be there for a while yet.

Is it still running on Sky??

Yes it is, it also carries on via NTL aswell.

The plan was that More4 +1 was never going to be a permanent fixture on DTT, the space that Channel 4 bought was always going to be used for something else, More4 +1 was just keeping the space warm until a new oppourtunity became available, which is now with the Big Brother feed and Film Four in July.

Other than being valued for a 7.10pm repeat of Deal Or No Deal, I can hardly guess that More4 +1 is highly watched, More4's ratings are good but they're nowhere near as high as E4, Deal Or No Deal is the station's highest rated programme.

I know the Crown Castle streams are better quality, but I wish they'd switched the 305 and Quizcall feed as currently on one of my digital boxes I can't get the live feed (despite getting the prompt!) as it doesn't receive the CC muxes.

I'd also assume once FilmFour launches it would carry the Teletext service too so possibly move - though the problem is Quizcall runs on a low quality feed, especially in comparison to the CC slots.


Though I find E4+1 handy during BB as I always miss things on the live feed so usually can catch them later, I do think once FilmFour launches they should use E4+1 for the live feed - even just during the hours E4 shows regular programming.

Sorry maybe that did sound a bit snooty...what I meant was More4+1 has always been just a placeholder, and with the announcement MONTHS ago that FilmFour was coming to Freeview then the inital post indicating that More4+1 was being replaced by FilmFour seemed a bit pointless.
