So the Metro is made by the Evening Standard in London, Our version is adapted by 'Yorkshire Post Newspapers' and printed at 'Sheffield Newspapers Limited'
It only came to West Yorkshire earlier this year, and was available in South Yorkshire a couple of months previous to that.

ITV Digital's Monkey is to star in a new cinema advert.

Monkey will be seen in film-related guises, accompanied by a number of postcards.
He will portray Billy Elliot, Obi Wan Kenobi, Travis Bickle from Taxi Driver, and Russell Crowe in Gladiator, among others.
The advert will be seen in UK cinemas from this weekend, and on television in the new year.

Yes, I only noticed it when I got on the bus and found it on a seat. BTW: I thought that Yorkshire's 'Metro' was called that because of the 'Metro' train thingy.

MONKEY-TASTIC. You bet I'll have the movie ad, don't know how I'll manage to get hold of it if it's showing in the cinema, might have to wait until the new year until it shows on TV !

OMG, just seen the new Monkey Christmas Ad. Al tells Monkey that you get a free Monkey with ITV Digital. Monkey freaks out and has to get a disguise !! It's great !!

Oh please let them sell monkeys, I don't want to have to join ITV Digital just to get my hands on one.
A set of postcards would be nice aswell, that'll get me going to the cinema!

And Monkey won't be on sale to the general public, ITV Digital told me in an e-mail 'Unfortunately Monkey is not available for sale to the general public, as we felt it only right that he go to a home with ITV Digital'. However new and existing customers can get their hands on one !

The ITV Digital ads are brilliant Sky Digital's & NTL's are crap. Sky's is in a courtroom with Felicity Kendall, that bloke from Vicar of Dibley & some other bloke I cant remeber & NTL's are just stupid a bald bloke running after a NTL Van & a northern bloke saying how great it is.
Long may these ads run, will ASA or S E TV be getting real video files of these ads.
