So now the advert change to trying to kill him, I wonder if we will see other people trying.

It's random but had it been any other week of the year, I'm sure they'd have gone for someone else.
Good choice though.
Sue Barker is fantastically random. Interesting choice.

Did the Channel 5 one have Sue Barker?
Yep, it was exactly the same.

I wonder if the new strategy could be to use different people doing different attempts (but not succeeding) and being relevant to the time? Long shot, but could be (note it seems the new strapline seems to be 'saving the nation'.
Its on Channel 5 now but the stings are somewhat ruining the flow! Will be interesting to see where they take this concept, I assume we won't be getting this type of advert for much longer (if at all). They'll probably just air the end segment for a bit.

This was what I was thinking. Which is why I wondered if Sue Barker would be the would be assassin all the time.

Apart from the fact they repeated the part where she goes up the stairs instead of showing her looking at him eating chips.

You obviously have a better eye for detail than I do! Saw the advert again this afternoon and as expected they're just showing the end part outside the house. I wonder if they'll ever show the full length one again?

"Some people think it offensive especially at a time when children are watching. Others think it inappropriate when our security forces are coming under fire on a daily basis"
As if children are going to find a rocket launcher and take down the nearest fat man....

Those 43 complainants are morons... what they should be complaining about is the fact the fat git survived to annoy another day. What did Sue Barker have in that bazooka? ...a water balloon?
Note to Sue... try harder.

Well I see Daily Mail have been unable to resist inserting "BBC" into their own article...
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2169157/Go-Compare-advert-Parents-complain-BBCs-Sue-Barker-blowing-opera-singer-latest-TV-commercial.html
Presumably those complaining ignored the last few seconds which clearly shows he's alive and wasn't "blown up". At the end of the day no publicity is bad publicity and these articles complaining about the ad simply provide more publicity for the company/service.
