I think Micheal MacIntyre should come on for a few episodes, cause I love it when he's there. Frankie's been great, but first two where kinda slow, I can't wait for the rest of the series
McIntyre is too big for Mock the Week I think, he's probably away recording his Christmas DVDs This series ahs been good, they definitely need to get some new blood in there though.
I agree that Hugh is holding back, and it's a shame considering I find him one of the wittiest panelists. If he does leave, I think they'd consider Ed Byrne to become a regular seeing as he on there a vast amount of times... and he's good.
Does it really need 5 permenant comedians? I think the programme would probably be freshened up by only having 3 permenant (including host), and then 4 guests. Not saying there's anything wrong with the current line up, but it does get a bit samey every week, and there's some awesome comedians out on the circuit who'd fit right in.

I think that's a problem with the series now. Originally when there were two team captains (Hugh & Rory) + 1 permanent guest (Frankie) it didn't seem as bad, and with less 'chatting' there were more rounds. I think if they were to have fewer permanent comedians it would allow for a wider variety of guests and perhaps freshen up the show.
I'd have on one team, Hugh as Captain, with Frankie as a permanent guest, and on the other, Russell and Two Guests, because IMO Andy is the least funny one, he has his moments, but if he was on less, then he would have a better act, and have new acts like Rhod Gilbert, Stephen Amos, and that would give the show a sense of bounce.
I find Andy Parsons amusing, I think his sharp satirical observations are often funny. However I don't think he's in the same league as Frankie Boyle or Hugh Dennis (or Stewart Francis when he's on).
I agree Hugh is starting to look restless, his acting career seems to have taken off again recently (Outnumbered etc)-- so I can see him leaving. That said Dara is starting to look bored too, he would probably agree that MTW needs sprucing up too...
Am I the only one to think that Frankie Boyle is just a plain ****? He's completely unfunny. He just seems to tell everyone that Scotland is crap, and then tells a couple of puerile jokes about someone. His act is hardly awe-inspiring.
Hugh Dennis is funny, Russell Howard is a quite humourous nutcase, Andy Parsons is obscure - but I like him, and Dara Ó Briain is funny - but gets on my nerves very quickly. All of the regulars are just too different.

I can agree slightly with your analysis on Frankie - he is very samey, and only makes a few
good
quips per show. And I've noticed his stand up appears to be one-liners, which I'm not too keen on.

Surely being different is a good thing? They're all funny in their own way:
Hugh is funny but not on his best form on MTW (quite a few of his jokes are recycled from The Now Show) or are running gags (are you paying too much for your car insurance)
Russell Howard is the youngster doing the gags about being a child and modern trends
Andy Parsons is the cheesy gagsmith, a bit corny at times but comes up with the odd gem
Frankie is the outrageous one relying on shock value but very often comes up with a killer line that steals the show
