I love some of the sketches in this new series...The Surprising Adventures of Sir Digby Chicken Caeser IMHO is absolutely hilarious! They've only had sketches of this in 2 episodes so far though, whereas other, again IMHO, not so good sketches, such as The Party Planners and Numberwang, seems to get more screen time. Think if they played about with the format a bit, this program would be spot on!

I loved last night's toothbrush scene...it's true! 'Everyone knows brushing your tongue makes you retch...but if a red haired Scottish woman with a lab coat on says '89% of people suffer from dirty tongue...'

searched for a thread on this, but couldn't find one so apologies if this has come and gone...

what does everyone make of The Mitchell and Webb Look? Hoping for a second series?

Rather like their radio series I find it a bit hit and miss. Some very good sketches, but too many aren't that great.

I wasn't sure when I saw the first episode - a lot of the sketches were familiar from their radio series (That Mitchell and Webb Sound) and the canned laughter seemed off, but it's grown on me. I could live without Numberwang, but I like the party planners ("Whereas that dog's nephew speaks perfect English! Although he is a little impetuous...") and Sir Digby Chicken Caesar ("Ah, my grant from the foreign office!").

Last week's agent was good too - well, not good, but, y'know, good - I'd like to see more of that. Well, not that, something like that...

The garden centre tribe was good too.

Best sketch so far: Swim With A Shark For £50.

And the snooker commentators would be a better sketch without the gay references - unfortunate that it was shown straight after a weak episode of Extras which relied over-heavily on the same old gay jokes.

I agree, it is hit & miss. Though I still think it is better then the last 2 series of Little Britain.

The snooker commentators are slightly odd, in that last week (or the week before) they were both making references to how attractive one of the players was - yet last night's sketch indicated that one was gay whilst the other was markedly homophobic.

Anyway, it never does to analyse comedy too much.

I love these two. Last night wasn't their strongest material but this is one of the best new comedy shows I've watched in a long time.

Got to agree with that. All sketch shows are hit and miss though - but it's worth sitting through the crap to get to the good stuff.

I think they are doing at least one more series of Peep Show too, easily the best sitcom of the last couple of years, whatever Ricky Gervais might think!

Actually Ricky Gervais has said Peep Show is criminally under-rated and has branded it the best British sitcom of the last 5 years. Laughing
