Here is a classic from Sian Williams on BBC Breakfast this morning. A lesson in making sure your microphone isn't still broadcasting on the live feed, especially when making comments about your family! Shocked Turn the sound up as Declan Curry starts his report from the LSE!

It also apparently took a text/email from viewers to point out that their clock had gone AWOL!

I think this may have been what Inspector Sands was getting at earlier in this thread. It's going to fast become tedious if you're uploading clips of every minor problem.

I couldn't disagree more. I have found the clips interesting. Keep up the good work, StuartPlymouth. Its like Auntie's Bloomers but without having to sit through endless clips of actors forgeting their lines before you get to anything interesting.

This isn't really a mistake, but I did wonder what had made Ms Wark chuckle at the end of Newsnight last night (It left me with a smile on my face as I went to bed) :

I think she messed up the final link.

My guess is that someone in the gallery said "website trail" as an instruction for Kirsty Wark to mention the website, but she thought they meant that a website trail was being shown next, so she introduced it, "do enjoy the website trail" which didn't make sense so she laughed about it afterwards.

Hmm maybe they listened to POV re the clock.

I think a lot of the cock ups add to the 'live' feel to Working Lunch, and I don't think its a bad thing either!

Well, I'd disagree regarding the Breakfast clip. Presumably Sian had some apologising to do to her Mum after the programme Laughing

I think a clock during Breakfast is an exceptional example to what was raised on POV. A lot of people find the clock useful and I'm not surpised people sent emails/texts when it was missing.

I thought that clip was hilarious. Poor old Sian's fat mum. Wink

Channel 4 this evening failed to play anything between the end of the first part of the Simpsons, and the first programme trailer at the end of the ad break.

Which led to an apology for Gary Terzza over the end credits, so it must have affected all of Channel 4's advertising regions.

Yep, Channel 4 Analogue even disappeared from Winter Hill for a moment or two there.

Totally fell off at Sutton Coldfield on Freeview and Analogue.
I thought perhaps there'd been a power cut or something at Channel 4 but the fact that Channel 4 + 1 was still running kind of put paid to that theory.
