There was a mistake with the headlines at noon today.

The headline bed started as usual, and pictures from the first headline.

During the second headline, pictures were still relevant to the first headline.

We then went to a shot of the presenter, who read the remaining headlines in-vision.

She then paused, but the opening titles wern't forthcoming either, So she then just started the bulletin.

Not very special, I expect this sort of thing happens occasionally?Confused Confused Confused

there is a 1200/2400 bug that sometimes strikes with the News 24 technology!!! sounds like that

I put in a good few News 24 watching-hours each day and the headlines at the top of the hour seem to go wrong about 50% of the time.

More recently they have got better at coping with it and reading to camera if they lose pictures, but it does seem a bit odd, especially as before the 12 o'clock bulletin they had Talking Movies, so you'd have thought there would have been time to get everything ready.

That said, not that long ago there were often long pauses between items at various points during the hour, and this happens much less these days.

It's not a matter of getting things ready. Everything usually is. It's a computer glich which causes the whole system to freeze at the top of a hour.

Exactly the same thing happened at noon on Sunday with John Andrew. BTW, I really like John Andrew on News 24 - they should give him a more permanent role. The last time I saw him was last Christmas when he filled in over the Xmas period for Maxine Mawhinney. I hope the same happens this Xmas!

Last night's delayed late night news on BBC1 had graphic problems. At one point it covered the newsreader then when the camera moved to the guy reading the sport the BBC News graphic was gone and u could see the set behind.

Saturday's news was a complete disaster area: the first headline was in complete silence, the headline vamp was brought up for the second one and the presenter only joined in in the third headline! I think it was because the previous programme: the rememberence service from the Royal Albert Hall overran by 10 minutes pushing the schedules back (quite right too)
