I will sleep better tonight, for knowing what make of TV set you have.
I wasn't aware that any computer programs were available on catch-up, only television programmes .
If we're doing bland anecdotes that don't actually e.g. ask a question / seek input etc, then here's mine: I had falafels for lunch today, which I ate at my desk in the dull office in which I am employed.

Usually it means one has to update the appropriate app, or update the firmware on the TV (sometimes you can do this from the TV itself or you can download the appropriate update onto a memory stick and update the TV that way)

IMO your response was uncalled for, it was a genuine question to be asked that didn't ask to be shot down the way you did.
The next time your TV or catch-up app breaks and you post on here wanting to know whether certain programmes are missing, somebody will surely quote your sarcasm back to you ad verbatim and I hope you feel awful about it.

*some snotty sarcasm that isn't worth re-quoting*

It's usually because as already stated you may need to update the app or firmware (if available) to gain access to all the content. Sometimes you may need to reset the app or TV to get all the functionality back.
What is your TV's model number?

Thank you for your replies. I can use catch up for programs except for the examples I have given. My question is why are some programs not in the catch up listing.

So called 'Smart' TV's aren't very smart for long. My nearly 5 year old LG set I don't use any of the smart features as you'll find either the apps are obsolete and too slow to function with those that do.
In all honesty, I'd buy a cheap Now TV box or the Smart Stick, which has all of the terrestrial catch-up services, which will function a lot better than an older smart tv.

The Firestick is another option to maybe look at as well. Same principle as Now, only takes up far less space but is obviously more expensive initially (and will almost certainly regularly nag you about Amazon Prime as well).
The Firestick will give you access to Netflix as well which you can also use on a desktop or another device if you wish. This I believe is coming to Now TV as well at some point in the next few months (and SkyQ but that's irrelevant here).

I don't think the Fire TV has All4 however? The Now TV Smart Stick is similar to the Firestick in size and is voice controlled, which along with the black box and Smart Box will have Netflix....eventually!

The fire stick does have All4 on it, and is one of those apps that gets updated a lot. There are fewer apps in comparison to Roku, however the quality is better, Disney Life is available on fire stick, the notable obvious exception is Now TV.
