Mishal is permanently back in London, and Adrian has temporarily taken over the early morning shift - someone else will take over eventually.

So what will happen to Adrian? Razz

Said this before, but Justin Webb who is Washington Correspondent mainly for BBC Radio would be pretty good as the main Washington presenter for the BBC World joint bulletins. He's done loads of TV in the past (Breakfast, the 1 and 6) and would be pretty good with Mishal Hussein I reckon. Think he's been back in the UK recently doing some summer cover on Radio 4 - Today programme I think it was. Arn't Radio having a slight presenter re-jig also - I think Clare English has finished on PM, and John Humphries will probably want to retire fairly soon (though he was pretty good on Mastermind last night).

Yes Mishal is now permently back in London. She presents the 2100 2200 2300 and 0000 BST buls as well as Heathrow express. The 2300 and 0000 now lead from London rather than Washington. Adrian has moved to the early shift for a while

how do u know its a permanent move? There was speculation she would stay until the 2004 U.S elections. I have 2 theories. But in response, Ian pannell fronted the bulletin from Washington and he was awful. All he did was read off the teleprompter. They have to choose someone else.

1) She could have requested to move back to London as she found Washington boring and preferred to be near her family.
2) she knew BBC World would launch in America this year and decided that she was no longer needed to front the newscast from Washington.

Mishal is back for good. Ian is standing in for a while, but the Washington co pres is due to end in September. The programmes will then revert to just Mishal presenting them.
