Also just seen CNBC for first time- I like the music alot! (Sorry to go off subject)

News 24 was so funny this afternoon - Bill Turnbull, Maxine Mawhinney and John Terret - they were great! Talk about Peter & Paul on Look North! Bill and John kept insulting each other every time the Business came on - Maxine was stuck in the middle of it!

It's always the same when Maxine is doing a fill in shift in the afternoon.

A few months back, she was doing the 1-4 shift with John Nicholson and fits of laughter succumbed them all - there was Angela, the business presenter there too - after John persisited to say 'The time is ..., now for the business with Angela' and couldn't see the time so the clock was brought to the desk. He wouldn't let her do the business bit until the intro was right!

Then the next hour, he did the same thing! After the business though, Maxine informed us that he had indeed broke the clock trying to fix it to the correct time! Laughter started again!

Anyway, you had to be there!

I think Maxie is the best female presenter on News 24!

Well, we - the Maxine Mawinney Appreciation Society - are trying to pressurise the BBC to give her more air time. We all know she is wasted presenting alone and that she should rightly be with another presenter.

This is an ongoing campaign so all the help and assistance people can give to this worthy campaign would be greatly appreciated!
